Classification of Substances
IMCA issues a list of substances/compounds and herbs, which have been assessed by the agency and their outcome appears on the agency lists.
Definitions of classifications featuring on the lists:
A = General product
B = Import prohibited, the ingredient is banned in a general product (ingredient toxic/undesirable or classified as pharmaceutically active)
C = Assessed individually, depends on concentration of ingredients
N = A marketing authorisation must be sought for as a natural medicine. The substance banned in products other than the one, which received a marketing authorisation as a natural medicine.
